Valentine's Day is going to be pretty lax this year. My husband is going out of town this weekend for a seminar. (Seriously, who holds a seminar over V-Day weekend? Someone disgruntled maybe.) So it's just me and the kiddos. I usually bake him his choice of dessert for the big day, but without a little time to myself, he may just get a smooch on the cheek at the airport.

2. Red Velvet Mini Cupcakes - You know about the lusciousness of red velvet, I'm sure.
3. Brownie Bottom Cheesecake - My hub's favorite cheesecake. One of mine, too.
4. Cinn-a-bun Cheesecake - A cinnamon roll dressed up as a cheesecake. You can't go wrong.
5. Tuile Cookies - Fun little cookies that you mold while they're still hot. You can even make fortune cookies out of them!

ReplyDeleteMmmmm Cinn-a-bun cheesecake!! I will for certain be making that in the very near future ... well as soon as I go out and buy a springform pan anyways!
ReplyDeleteI want to make fortune cookies using the Tuile recipe! Sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I couldn't wrap my brain around how to make a fortune cookie (lack of sleep maybe...), so I don't have any examples in that post, but Our Best Bites just posted a cute tutorial and she even dipped them halfway in chocolate! http://www.ourbestbites.com/2010/02/fortune-cookies.html
ReplyDeleteOoooh, thanks so much for that Fortune Cookie link!! I have been wanting to make some for ages!!
