Wait... What Day Is It Today?

"Nanny nanny boo boo. I'm making you cra-zy"

I think I need to get myself some days-of-the-week underpants, because until about 3 minutes ago, I thought today was Tuesday.

It's not. It's Wednesday. Surprise!

The sad thing is, I can't even blame the holiday weekend, because in my life, there is no holiday weekend. Days are pretty much all the same. Only some days my new little kindergartner needs to wear all blue or have her library book in her backpack when she leaves for school.

Who do I blame for not knowing what day it is?

My kids, that's who.

No, not myself for not having a calendar hanging up where I can see it. I blame my kids. Before kids, I knew what day of the week it was. Actually, before kids I was mostly aware of whatever day was or wasn't Friday.

But now, my days are all pretty much the same. Wake up, hook up my coffee drip, read, draw, write, fetch all ten billion things my kids ask me to fetch, clean all ten billion things my kids have made messy, wash all ten billion articles of clothing that constantly need washing, wonder where all ten billion kid-sized socks have disappeared to, then go to bed.

So, Happy Wednesday to you! And if you are like me, and you thought it was Tuesday, then Happy Tuesday to you!

And go on, blame your kids when you lose track of the days. Heck, blame your kids for whatever you want. You KNOW they'll be blaming you for whatever they want later in life.

xoxo,

  3. But is it really "blame" when it's true? You're not passing the buck but pinpointing the problem. :o)
I lose track all the time.

  4. I'm not sure day of the week undies would help...unless you were on top of cleaning them and keeping them in order :)
