Advice for Young Girls From the Disney Princesses
Okay, so I'm just going to go out there and say it: I like Disney fairy tale musicals. No. I love them. Particularly the ones that came out when/before I was in elementary school (3rd grade The Little Mermaid - 5th grade Beauty and the Beast)
I'm a humongous fairy tale junkie, and enjoy seeing Disney's take on the classic tales (I am ALL for fairy tale retellings), but being a mom with daughters, I couldn't help cracking up over the Advice for Young girls videos from The Second City Network on YouTube.

Advice for Young Girls from Belle:
Hope you laughed as much as I did!
And then, because I love to know about all things fairy tale-related - what is your favorite fairy tale, Disney, or otherwise?
(Mine is Rapunzel. Yes, I am flipping out over the Tangled trailer.)

OMG, I want to go see Tangled... like now... why isn't it out yet
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fairy tale is a yet to be published wonderful retelling of a well know tale, by a not yet (but soon will be) author. Which reminds me... I STILL need to read chapter 6
"Stick it out...you can change him" That...is awesome :)
ReplyDeleteYou know we are big time fairy tale lovers here. The Little Mermaid is still my favorite Disney rendition...as it is Amelia's. We are both dying to see Tangled.
As for the original fairy tales...hmmmm, I guess I was always a sucker for Cinderella.
OMG! Hilarious!! And kinda true in a scary way! ha!
ReplyDeleteI loved "I like the term inter-speciesality b/c it sounds like special".
Thanks for posting those!!
Love it! I had to show Jim these too and we both thought they were a hoot. "It'll be like home...Stockholm."
