Down the Rabbit Hole (Part 3)

As guests skipped up the path to Wonderland they were immediately greeted by Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, telling them which way to the talking doorknob. "One good turn deserves another," they called.

Princess after princess "fell" down the rabbit hole and were greeted by the white rabbit, before finding themselves amidst a tea party where they were "just the right size."

The tables were strewn with colorful cups, saucers, teapots, characters and even the dormouse in his usual hiding place.

While dining on tea and cookies, the princesses enjoyed the company of Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and even the Queen of Hearts herself, who kept the number of "Off with their heads" to a minimum. The queen was gracious enough to give each of the princesses their own heart shaped fan to decorate as they saw fit, since they'd done such a fine job of painting the roses red after they'd arrived..

Festive music filled the air and soon the humming of a familiar cat was heard, but something was missing. The princesses took it upon themselves to pin the grin on the Cheshire Cat so he could smile once more. He was so grateful, he told them where to find the most delicious cakes.

After a rousing song of Happy Birthday and a sugar high of "Eat Me" cakes, then presents, the princesses sat down to watch Alice in Wonderland while waiting for their carriages to arrive, but not before everyone sang and posed for an "I'm a Little Teapot" photo.

With goodie teabags in hand, the princesses thanked Alice for inviting them to tea and promised to see her at preschool tomorrow.

The whole thing turned out pretty cute and the girls had a lot of fun. I expect that my daughter will still be talking about it when her birthday comes around next year and we'll probably do it again someday. I mean, why not, now a trip to Wonderland is as simple as unpacking the pink colored tote tucked neatly under my house. And hopefully, I'll come across even more fun things to add to it next time!

  1. That is THE absolute cutest thing I've seen in forever. I would have killed to have a party like that when I was a little girl. What an amazing mother you are, to put that together for your princess. Seriously. Thats rad.

  2. All of your imaginativeness (yep, it's a new word) has given me some inspiration to push the envelope for Amelia and Merrick's next birthdays! Your party rocked :)
